THEME: Light and Shadow


DEADLINE: January 31st, 2010


Details: Create a piece of artwork that represents an interpretation of light, shadow, or some combination of both. So what does it mean to you? Show me!


Criteria: All entries must include the following: one or more of my characters (listed below), proper credits for all characters used, and a description of how the image relates to the theme. My character DOES NOT have to be the subject! As long as one of them is in the picture somewhere and in some form (I don't mind crossovers, but please tell me first so I can authorize it), I will be happy. You may use any other character otherwise (as long as permission is granted and proper credits are given). The contest is broken into three categories: Traditional (graphite, colored pencil, painting, so on), Digital (any computerized drawing), and Literature (poetry and/or prose).

How to Enter
Once you upload your entry, NOTE me (or comment here) with a link to your image and I will link it here! Each deviant may submit TWO entries into each category. Any additional entries will not be counted.


Scoring
Entries will be judged on creativity, accuracy, and depth. Creativity means how original and fresh the entry is. Static poses or overused concepts will score less. Accuracy refers to character detail and personality--I am quite strict about this, so PLEASE ASK if something is unclear about a character! Depth refers to the meaning/thought behind the image. I want to know the process used to make the piece as well as the idea behind it. That is what the artist's comments section is for!
